Rise And Shine

Rise and shine,                                                                                     owl

crows the rooster at dawn;

while the wise owl slumbers in the pine,

waiting for the sun to be gone.

I’m not the kind who gets up with the sun,                                  wood fire

it’s in the dark of night,

that mystical tales are spun;

voices that vanish with the dawns light.

Rise and shine,                                                                          Sunrise

like the sun and moon.

Good-byes and good times,

come and go to soon.The_Super_Moon_Rising_8793-M-DM

I’m much to weary,                                                                                                    sleep

to rise and shine.sleep 2

It’s too early to be so bright and cheery.

when sleep feels so divine.

So, I should rise and shine,

no matter how down I am.

climb2It’s not an easy climb,

I have my doubts if I can.

I want to keep dreaming sweet dreams,

leave me alone, and let me sleep;                                                              man waiting.jpg

in forests of virgin evergreens,

where my love, waits and weeps.

    1. Thank you Tomorrow. i appreciate the comment. See, that is why I wrote it, I am the exact opposite, and I feel guilty about it. So you have the early birds, and the night owls. Of course the early bird gets the worm, not sure exactly what the owl gets. I guess wise. Owls are some pretty tough predators though. I have always had problems waking up, so that is what inspired me. Nothing wrong with being an early riser. I would prefer to be a day person, being a night person is really a curse. Thanks for reading and your response. I always like to know what people think.

      From any and all readers, I would appreciate any constructive criticism as well. Please don’t hesitate to bring it to my attention, because I am still learning. It would be most helpful.
      I have problems with punctuation, and with some word usage, not sure which one is the appropriate. Example usage of something or anything. I must have been sleeping in class when we had that lesson.

    1. Thanks I have always felt that way, non-conformity brings variety, and to me prevents stagnation. I don’t feel like being just a cog on the giant wheel that goes around endlessly in the same procession. I want to be my own wheel that stops, and goes, and goes forward and back..
