Welcome To The Sun

I counted the days and dreaded the night,

blind in the dark, what good is sight?

All I’ve learned doesn’t do me a bit of good,

I can’t start a fire without matches and wood.

I call out in distress,

no answer, but silence to my  S.O.S.

Welcome to the sun,

it brings light,

it warms everyone.

Hello to what’s to come,

can I face the fight?

Welcome to the sun.

At the sky, I cried and cursed,

while angry clouds rumbled and burst.

Poseidon in his wrath, unleashed his temper,

only to wane with a zephyr.

Was then I saw a glimmer of blue,

the storm had bid adieu,

Welcome to the sun,

it brings light,

it warms everyone.

Hello to what’s to come,

I’m ready to face any fight,

Welcome to the sun.
