Now We’re Cooking

Are you feeling hungry,  could you use a meal?

If you want to dine on fine cuisine,

maybe you’ll know what I mean.

Home cooking for real,

no  a la carte,  everything’s included when you’re dining in.

I’ll get you a menu,  so pull up a chair,

for starters,  I’ll  bring  a drink,  and a napkin.

Everything here is made form scratch, with loving care,

even the appetizers,  are real   tantalizers.

Start with something light and fruity,  picked fresh off the vine,

make you feel so good, think you’re on cloud nine.

I take special requests, my customer service is the best,

I know how to treat my guests, no one here leaves unimpressed.

I can whip you up a dish, anything you wish,

I let them simmer an saute,

then bring them to your table,  an all you can eat buffet.

Have to make sure I stir the  pot, it can get mighty hot,

it’s down right steamy !

Did I forget to mention,

my special recipe,  it’s what makes my sauce so creamy.

I bet that got your attention !

Cooking’s not such a chore,

I’m satisfied when customers come back for more.

When it starts to smoke and sizzle,

need to cool it down with a little drizzle.

I’ve been told my culinary skills delight,

take a taste , take a bite,  whet your appetite.

A pinch of salt for flavor,

add some secret spice.

You wont want to wait for later,

if you have it once,  you have to have it twice.

I can jazz it up if you like it spicy,

if that’s not your cup of tea,

I can keep it plain, nothing fancy.

I’m  here to make you happy,

want those taste buds to explode,

leave some room for desert,  there’s pie a la mode.

I just can’t go without my sweets,

have to have my after  dinner treats.

A night cap,  and a midnight snack,

guaranteed to leave you lieing flat on your back.
