My Universe

You are the center of my universe,

encompassing my all, my everything.

Distant worlds collide and disperse,

into a circle, a giant glowing ring.

In that darkness, they shine bright,

in my darkness, you are the light.

Clouds of cosmic gas, ice, and clusters of dust,

star stuff, star stuff is in us.

Billions of suns, and billions of years elapse,

a magnitude to large to grasp.

Expanding into infinity,

in that infinity, is divinity.

Of all the likelihoods, possibilities and outcomes,

that our paths should intersect.

That our meeting should have such  a magnetic affect,

drawn together by this attraction, gravity succumbs.

You are my universe,

without you in it, there’s no point, there is no purpose.
